I just posted a blog about a pumpkin patch field trip. Now I am sharing different odds & ends that I have done with my kiddos throughout the years. They are in total random order and have no rhyme or reason, but to share in hopes that it helps you! xoxo LC
A little hot glue, a little twine, and little pumpkin or 2 and some shells.....voila!
TRASH THE ATTITUDE NOT THE PUMPKIN:
Not the best pic....sorry. But use a trash bag to help save your child from getting paint on their clothes. Dollar tree usually sells foam pumpkins and it's a pumpkin painting party!
PUMPKIN SPICE AND EVERYTHING NICE IN THE TRAY:
I can't deny Dollar Tree was my BFF for many years, now I am sharing with you, some things I did that saved the bank and the party! lol
Here I have a selection of goodies that are inspired by fall flavors:
-cinnamon cream cheese
-carmel almond butter
Have your little ones make ants-on-a-log, or maybe call them leaves on a tree.....or something autumn-esque. Bon apetito!
Here are some books you can check out from your local library that are 'pumpkin specific'.
We have a pumpkin playlist on our youtube channel that has some of these as read-aloud videos.
PLEASE LITTLE PUNKINS:
I don't know about your kiddos....but mine are HIGH energy....from the moment they wake up to the moment they go to sleep. I need to find ways to keep with the theme of our learning, but actually GET THEM MOVING! Here they start off as a seed, and ask me, "Mother may I grow?", then the slowly walk toward me and get taller and taller until they are a full grown pumpkin. The first one to touch me on the other end wins!
