All items (minus the spices and fruit) can be purchased at your local Dollar Tree.

You have a choice....you can make 1. Pumpkin Pie Popcorn, or 2. Citrus Cinnamon Potpourri.

PUMPKIN PIE POPCORN:

  • 1/2 cup of sugar in a zip top plastic bag

CITRUS CINNAMON POTPOURRI:

  • 3 small cuties® or tangerines or clementines

  • 2-3 tbsp of cinnamon

How to use: simply peel the citrus add the cinnamon and leave on low heat to slow simmer. The smell will just usher in the holidays!

HOW TO DECORATE:

You will need scissors, tape and a paper punch.

  1. Cut your wide ribbon so it goes all around the jar

  2. Tape the ribbon to the jar

  3. Fold a leaf in half and punch where you want to put the string through

  4. Cut your string, small ribbon, or twine, and tie securely onto the jar

  5. Insert your bag of sugar, bag of kernels, and bag of spice

  6. Put jar top and there you go!

I didn't get a chance to make a label or tag....but I will come back and upload one. Here is what you need to make the popcorn below:

PUMPKIN PIE SPICE POPCORN RECIPE:

  1. Combine 1/2 cup of oil in a large pot along with your bag of sugar and kernels.

  2. Heat above items over a medium heat.

  3. Shake the pot while the popcorn begins to start popping (Be careful not to overheat, sugar will begin to brown).

  4. Remove lit and pour into another large bowl, so sugar does not begin to burn

  5. drizzle the top with the pumpkin pie spice sugar

  6. Enjoy!

*we cooked our popcorn too long and it got a bit burned! lol....so follow instructions not to cook too long.

And there is my affordable craft, recipe and gift idea!

Happy Homeschooling!
